Our historic event,  the 563rd since its inception, will be held on Saturday 12th July 2008, opening with an open air music event and bar on the evening of Friday 11th July.

The theme for our procession and children's fancy dress competition in 2008 will be 'Fantasy Island' but our field will remain themed as 'Medieval' for all time.

Our popular procession processes through the town from 10.30 am, and thousands of people line the streets to cheer all the participants, please come along and join in the atmosphere of the day.

Once the procession reaches Abbey Field our MP Mr Philip Hammond will officially open the fair at 11.30 am accompanied by the Black Cherry Fair Princesses. Following this we have live music and arena events all afternoon. On the field we have over 100 stalls selling a variety of merchandise as well as a fair ground.

The Rotary Club of Chertsey (Black Cherry Fair) Ltd, Committee and volunteers organise the fair annually on a voluntary basis and use any money made from the fair for local charities or events.

Please contact us if you or your company would like to help or to get involved in your local charitable event.
